Why pcpx.one exists
The shortest version: the server never gets the key. Not because we promise not to look at it, but because it never arrives there.
What zero-knowledge gives you
- Encryption happens exclusively in your browser, before anything leaves the device
- The key lives in the URL fragment — browsers do not send this part to the server
- Only ciphertext and technical metadata ever reach the server
- Trust-Key mode: approve a specific recipient device instead of relying on the link alone
- Compare a fingerprint over a second channel before approving
- SDK and CLI open source (MIT) on GitHub; server and website stay closed
